Legal Alert is a panic button feature that instantly connects you with an attorney if you're arrested. When you tap the Legal Alert icon, an attorney in your area is immediately notified of your situation, and your designated emergency contact is also informed. This ensures legal help is on the way before you even reach the jail.

EL Locator offers two membership options: the EL Locator Member plan is completely FREE and includes threat detection and alerts. The Legal Alert (Lawyer) plan is $25/year with a first month free trial, designed for attorneys to receive alerts.

It's simple! When you see a threat like a DUI checkpoint or speed trap, just tap on your phone screen at the location on the map. Select the type of threat (DUI checkpoint, police/speed trap, or construction), and the pin will be dropped. All other EL Locator users will instantly see your alert on their maps.

Yes, we take your privacy and security very seriously. Your personal information is encrypted and protected. When you drop pins, only the location data is shared with other users - not your personal details. Your emergency contact and attorney information is only accessed when you activate the Legal Alert feature.

Yes! EL Locator works nationwide. The app uses Google Maps and GPS technology, so you can use it anywhere in the United States. Our network of attorneys is also growing across the country to provide Legal Alert support in more areas.
